Rare earths are a thing again… that seems clear.
United States President Donald Trump bent Ukraine over a barrel to get some of theirs and he wants to buy Greenland to grab some of its. Apple just committed US$500 million to get hold of the rare earths and downstream magnet products coming out of MP Materials’ Mountain Pass rare earths mine in California and the US Department of Defense also threw a lazy US$400 million at the project recently.
